How it works
- Measure the inside diameter of the container at its widest point.
- Choose your wax type: each one needs a different wick.
- The result is a starting point based on manufacturers’ wick charts.

Frequently asked questions
How do I measure the diameter?
Measure the inside of the container from side to side at its widest point.
Why does the result show two wicks?
In wide containers a single wick can’t melt the wax all the way to the edge; two smaller wicks do a better job.
Does it work for pillar candles?
Yes, as a guide; pillars usually use a slightly smaller wick so the outer wax forms a wall.
