About Us, Methodology and Legal Notice
Who’s behind CeraVelas, how we choose the supplies we recommend, how we make money from Amazon and how we handle your data (we barely touch it).
Who we are
CeraVelas is an independent project run by a small team that loves making candles. We started by jotting down temperatures, wick sizes and fragrance loads in a notebook, and that notebook grew into this site: guides to every supply, step-by-step tutorials and calculators so your candles come out right the first time.
We aren’t affiliated with any wax, wick or fragrance oil manufacturer. We don’t sell anything directly, and no one pays us to be featured or to appear in a particular spot on the page.
Methodology
- Supply data: temperatures, maximum fragrance loads and wick sizes come from manufacturers’ published spec sheets and the most widely used wick charts. We give typical ranges and always recommend a burn test, because every wax and every fragrance oil behaves differently.
- Product selection on Amazon: we only show products whose title exactly matches the supply (for example, soy wax, not finished candles or other waxes).
- CeraVelas score: we rank products with our own score that combines the average customer rating and the number of reviews (a high average with very few reviews counts for less).
- Availability: stock is checked automatically every Monday and Thursday. Out-of-stock products are hidden until they’re available again.
We don’t accept paid placements. If you see something that doesn’t match your experience, email us and we’ll look into it.

There are no user accounts, forms or newsletters here. We don’t use analytics cookies or any tracking tools of our own.
- Like any web server, our hosting provider logs minimal technical data (IP address, date and requested page) for security and operational purposes. It’s kept only as long as necessary and is never used to build profiles.
